Description:
Drifter valves or also called Snifter valves.
Two used per engine.
For use with the valve chest of 'slide valve' type
cylinders.
Pressurized Steam activates closure of valve.
When your engine is drifting with the closed throttle,
this valve allows air to be
drawn into the valve chamber from outside.
Good insurance against cinders or
soot from the exhaust entering the valve.
Threaded 1/4-40 for installation.
Please note: These are not required with the 90 Ton Mikado or the
2-8-2 Heavy Mikado.
