1 1/2" scale locomotive drive wheel patterns (2)seperate patterns that
make a light & medium counter weights
These are from the late Richard Thomas collection. These are just extra
drive wheel patterns that were part of the group lot of patterns I purchased
from him in 1999. Patterns are in good shape for being 30 years old.
There is a few cracks from the typical foundry abuse that can be fixed with
bondo or JB weld if desired. Sample wheels from these patterns are cast in
Grey iron. The patterns work good and produce a quality finish.
Basic dimensions of the finished rough castings samples are:
Wheel pattern #1
7.90" OD rough tire
8.45" OD rough flange
1.22" rough width (thickness)
appears to be around 1.75" crankpin distance center axle to center pin (+/- 1/8"
difference would probably work)
weight of casting 10.75 LBS
Wheel pattern #2
7.90" OD rough tire
8.45" OD rough flange
1.25" rough width (thickness)
appears to be around 1.75" crankpin distance center axle to center pin (+/- 1/8"
difference would probably work)
weight of casting 12 LBS
