wood pattern for 2 1/2" scale locomotive steps.  sold as is. photo
switch frog pattern wood pattern for 1 1/2" scale track switch frog.  The switch pattern itself is in good shape.  The main wood board needs to be replaced.  I would recommend making a new mounting board, then transfer the original pattern over to it and it would be as good as new.  This switch frog originally came from a business that had the fireworks accident, that is why the wood has a dark smoke color.  sold as-is photo SOLD

cylinder half pattern #2 from
Model Locomotive
Engineering
This is a 1 1/2" scale cylinder block half from a company called Model Locomotive Engineering.  Written on the pattern is 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" cylinders with a part# 104 D100.  Unknown what locomotive this cylinder half was used for.  This is a special cylinder half that has the valve ports fully cored.  The main core boxes are in photo.
From the Richard Thomas (past IBLS secretary) collection.

There were drawings for this at one time from the information noted on patterns.  Unknown if these drawings exist anymore. Someone with a little autocad skills could make up a new set.
It appears all the follow-up pieces are there too.  This pattern is one-of-a-kind and could be put back into production with a little work.  It would be neat to make this available to the hobby again.
SOLD
 60+ wood patterns-
2-6-2 locomotive
+ trailing truck+
cylinder patterns
1 1/2" scale loose wood patterns for an unknown 2-6-2 locomotive.  There are two boxes of miscellaneous loose patterns from the late Richard Thomas (IBLS secretary).  There are approx. 60+ patterns ranging from braking, pilot, frame components, crosshead, cylinder block and other important items.  This is one of those fun projects that you can spend some time figuring out where everything went.  If someone has the drawings of a 2-6-2 from Richard Thomas, there is a good chance these are the patterns that went with that project.  Someone put a lot of work into making these patterns. I would like to see them go to someone who wants to spend the time figuring out this 2-6-2 design and bring it back to life.  If you have autocad skills, you could probably put this together on paper and figure out what is missing.
It appears there is enough items here to make a frame structure/chassis with spring rigging, brake system, valve gear supports, and pilot/trailing structure.  Wheels would need to be figured out to get a rolling chassis going.  Includes delta trailing truck patterns.  The trailing truck is made from 6 loose patterns.  Cylinder block patterns included.

Sold As-Is.

1 1/2"
Arch bar
truck patterns
1 1/2" scale live steam arch bar truck sand patterns and drawings.  The sand patterns are from the original Power Models Supply that had the fireworks accident.  One pattern was missing or still needs to be made.  The pattern that needs to be made is middle support housing for the bolster fit and the spring pad.  The drawing shows the middle spring support casting and spring pad, but the patterns were never made or burned up in the fire.  Special cash only discount price = $800.00 at time of pickup.  Schedule an appointment to see patterns prior to purchase.  There are 3 separate "A" size original drawings for the power model arch bar trucks that is included.  This is a good head start on a project for someone who wants to make arch bar trucks.  Just have to make one pattern to finish this out and you could start selling finished trucks or kits.  It looks like a nice Arch bar truck that would benefit the hobby and needs to be made available again. photo SOLD

1 1/2" scale
locomotive drive wheel patterns
 #1 & #2
These are from the late Richard Thomas collection.  These are just extra drive wheel patterns that were part of the group lot of patterns I purchased from him in 1999.  Patterns are in good shape for being 30 years old.  There is a few cracks from the typical foundry abuse that can be fixed with bondo or JB weld if desired.  Sample wheels from these patterns are cast in Grey iron.  The patterns work good and produce a quality finish. photo SOLD
1 1/2" scale locomotive drive wheel pattern #3 This pattern is from the late Richard Thomas collection.  It is a drive wheel pattern that was part of the group lot of patterns I purchased from him in 1999.  He had a fleet of locomotives during his hobby years.  This is a pattern that was used for
some of the locomotives he built.  Pattern probably around 25+ years old.  Whoever bought the remainder of the Richard Thomas locomotive patterns might need this wheel pattern to help complete their collection.  This pattern weighs in at 20lbs.
The gate on the back needs to be fixed, easy 5 minute job or the foundry may just gate the pattern the way they like it.  I never had the time to introduced this wheel into the product line.  It has been in storage for 16 years.

1 1/2" scale locomotive drive wheel pattern, box pot style
wheel pattern# 4
1 1/2" scale locomotive drive wheel pattern, box pot style, heavy counter weight wheel
It appears to be a Railroad Supply Corporation pattern.  Has a Railroad Supply part # D-2020-4.  Possibly a wheel casting that was never was released into production due to the break up of the company in the 1990's.
There was rumor that RRSC wanted to build a larger locomotive to compete against Little engines of lomita.  This may of been the beginning phase of that project.  It has been in storage for many, many years.  Pattern looks like it was hardly used.
