Core box for D-8085-1
All of these patterns came from Railroad Supply Corporation, in Burbank.
The assets were divided up into numerous sections during the breakup of company
back in the 90's and sold off.
These patterns were in a box marked Railroad Supply masters. Having the
master patterns means you can make duplicates and maintain the original design.
I estimate that these patterns are probably
over 30+ years old. There is some repairs that need to be made on some of
them. If you were planning on making freight car trucks. This would
save you a tremendous amount of time and labor from making your own.
On some of the patterns, there is core boxes that would need to be re-made.
I found one the core box for D-8085-1 pattern so that is now included.
I use to know Chet Peterson, the original owner and founder of Railroad Supply.
I know for a fact that he would be thrilled if someone would make these trucks
available to the hobbyist again using the original patterns.
no pattern number | bettendorf side frame | This is a prototype original wood master pattern to make a sand pattern with. Have not found where it was used. Suspect it was a RRSC burbank, probably never released into production. |
