DESCRIPTION:

We are pleased to offer part #04-08 frames as CNC Steel cut frames.
This procedure eliminates 90% of the machining required, compared to alternative
methods such as flame and plasma cutting.  Eliminates hours of machining time and
tooling costs.   Frames are ready for hole drilling, tapping and final milling steps.

CNC Steel cut frame, blanchard ground for thickness.  Bottom pedestal bridges have been removed in photo.

What is involved with machining the frames?  Here is the machining details for the customer:
The remaining work can be done in a small mill/drill as long as the frame width can be clamped securely.  1/2" 4 flute end mill works well for nice finish.
Customer removes bottom pedestals bridges and sizes the final width of main journals shown in print 282_4FMA.
There is only approx. .05" to remove on slots sides with minimal milling required.  Enough material for customer to size journal slots as desired for fit with main axle box.
Approximate time to set-up and finish journal slots with manual machining = 4-6 hours average
Customer machines the rear of frame for the left and right sides shown in print 282_4FMA.  Use 1/2" rougher and finish out with 1/2" 4 flute end mill.
Approximate time for milling right and left sides using manual machining  = 6-8 hours
